Most members of the PYROMUSIKALE team are ambitious photographers or video fans themselves and understand the wishes of their fellow amateurs. That's why we do everything to help you get the perfect picture or footage:
Special area for amateurs with tripods!
That's unique in the world: at the PYROMUSIKALE you may use your camera as you like - even with a tripod. And that's not all: we define a special area exclusively for photo and video freaks where you can set up your tripods without having to fight with the "normal" audience. One limitation: this area can be accessed only by the camera operator himself - your companion will have to stand or sit outside. And no, there will be no access for "camera assistent" girlfriends or wives.
Photo competition in the making
We have decided to organize a photo competition. At present we can't publish the exact conditions and prizes. Give us a little time and keep an eye on our NEWS.

We do whatever possible to help you act out your ambition as a photo or video amateur. In return we appeal to your sense of fairness:
Your photo or video material of the PYROMUSIKALE may only be used for private purposes!
Permitted:
* you may publish your selfmade photos or videos on your own non-commercial homepage - under the condition that your write "PYROMUSIKALE 2009" and a link to
www.pyromusikale.com next to it.
* you may publish your videos on YouTube or other platforms for video amateurs -
upload only in normal SD quality (= max 768 px width) but not in HD (= HDV, AVCHD) quality (because too good quality might be abused by copycats). In addition you have to write "
PYROMUSIKALE 2009" and a link to www.pyormusikale.com in the text or comment fields of the publication platform.
* you may publish your photos on mySpace, Flicr and similar platforms for amateurs. Limitation:
longest side of the picture may not exceed 640 Pixel). In addition you have to write "PYROMUSIKALE 2009" and a link to
www.pyromusikale.com in the text or comment fields of the publication platform.

you may burn DVDs and give them away as a gift to friends as long as they are labeled with "PYROMUSIKALE 2009" and a link to www.pyromusikale.com and contain the following text saying: "Use and multiplication of this material is strictly limited for private use. Copyright holder is EDDA GmbH (www.edda-events.com). Infringements of copyright will be prosecuted."
Forbidden:
* Use of photos or videos - even if only private - without a well visible text "PYROMUSIKALE 2009" or without a well visible and accessible link or text of our web address

* Use of photos or video material on commercial websites (=
any website that generate income or advertises professional services). You may not use the material on websites offering (your?) services of a photographer or video/multimedia producer, camera operator etc.!

Use of photos in advertisement material of any kind, in books, magazines, calendars or advertisement or entertainment media of any kind.
* Sale of photos or video material
* Sale of data disks or downloads of your photos or videos
*
Upload to video platforms with high quality (= better than 784 KBit/Sec).
* Upload of your photos or videos to bartering platforms or bartering or swapping photos through internet platforms (because those platforms allow the commercial use of photos)
*
Upload of photos larger than 640 x 640 pixel (because from experience we know that larger resolution photos will be stolen by third parties and commercially used - with you being involved in the legal problems arising).
Be fair and stay out of trouble
According to our contracts with pyro artists, musicians, sponsors, partners, picture agencies, tv stations etc. we are obliged to persue all violations of our copyrights. Although we have negotiated as much as possible in the favour of the photo and video amateur - we are bound by contracts to act very aggressively against any person who ignores our rules.
By contracts we were forced to hire a company specialized in detecting any copyright violation in the internet; they cooperate with an internationally operating law firm persuing copyright infringements.
In practical terms that means: whoever publishes PYROMUSIKALE material, on purpose or accidently, beyond our definition of private amateur use, has to face llegal action, costs for attorneys and court plus compensation - usually summing up to 500 - 2000 Euro.
The detection software performs miracles in recognizing pictures/video on the web and we'll feed a lot of material to it so it will be able to succeed even more. Nobody in our team understands why and how this software works successfully - but we were pretty amazed when having see the presentation.
