Cangas del Narcea - Asturias (north of Spain) is one of the most important Spanish PyroFestivals.
It's been celebrated 14-22 July for more than 100 years.
There are many fireworks during these days. Actually, there are 39 pyro associations, which fight to get the best fireworks.
However, the best moment occurs 16th July at 8:00pm when all the pyro associations join to get La Descarga, which is not made by any pyrothecnic. La Descarga is made by Cangas del Narcea people through his centennial Society, "La Sociedad de Artesanos". More than 72,000 rockets are thrown out by 400 people for 7 minutes!!
This year, the pyro association Peña El Espolín has created an app for mobile devices about our pyro festival, called "Descarga Cangas App". You can see the timelines, festival program, all about La Descarga, all about Pyro Associations, etc. We think that It is a fantastic tool to enjoy the festival. It's available on Android Market, App Store and Windows Phone and It`s free!!
