Kreeg net een mailtje uit Malta dat er een vuurwerkfabriek op Gozo de lucht in is gegaan. Volgens lokale media zijn er op dit moment 2 doden en 2 gewonden.

Two men lost their lives and at least another two have been injured, propably seriously, in a fireworks factory explosion near Gharb in Gozo at about 6.10 pm. today, according to preliminary reports.
Eyewitnesses said they saw a big mushroom-shaped cloud over the scene.
Three explosions were heard over a wide area.
No other details were immediately available.
This was the fifth fireworks factory explosion this year. A man died in an explosion at the August 15 fireworks factory in Dwejra, Mosta on August 13 and another died last May at St Catherine’s Fireworks Factory in Marsaxlokk.
Two men lost their lives in February at the St Sebastian Fireworks Factory in Qorm and another two escaped unhurt in another explosion at St Bartolomeo Factory in Gharghur in April.''

''At least two men are believe to have died and another two have been seriously injured in a powerful blast that has rippred through a fireworks factory near Gharb in Gozo this evening.
Eyewitnesses say three explosions were heard in the area of Toni tal-Gharb.
A man and a woman were identified from the debris, and rushed out of the scene on an ambulance. Another two victims are believed injured while another two people are still unaccounted for, police sources told MaltaToday.
One Zebbug resident told MaltaToday the windows of his living room rattled violently with the blasts.
This is the third fireworks factory explosion this year. Only two weeks ago, a Mosta man died in an explosion at the August 15 fireworks factory in Dwejra, Mosta on 13 August. Another died in May at St Catherine’s fireworks Factory in Marsaxlokk. Two men lost their lives in February at the St Sebastian Fireworks Factory in Qormi.
Gozo police, together with Civil Protection personnel are on the scene at the moment and are currently working through the smouldering debris.''
