Meeste wat opvalt (of wat ik het ergst vind/meeste last van heb) is het verbod op mobiele cocktail barretjes.

Fallas 2027: Major Changes Announced as Preparations Begin
The first official meeting of the Bando Fallero has taken place, bringing together municipal services, representatives from the Fallas community, neighbourhood associations and social organisations to begin preparations for Fallas 2027.
Several important changes have now been confirmed, with the aim of improving safety, mobility and the overall experience of one of the world's greatest festivals, while continuing to protect its traditions. Here's everything you need to know.

Valencia City Centre to Close Earlier
One of the biggest changes for Fallas 2027 will affect traffic in the city centre.
From 08:30 on 16 March, central Valencia will be closed to vehicle traffic, bringing the closure forward by several hours. In previous years, restrictions generally began at 15:00.
The earlier closure is intended to improve pedestrian movement during one of the busiest days of the festival and enhance safety as visitor numbers reach their peak.

Key Dates for Fallas 2027
Several important dates have also been confirmed:

La Crida – The traditional opening of Fallas will take place on the last Sunday of February.

Casal tents (Carpas) – Installation may begin from 11 March.

Buñolerías – Traditional bunyol stalls can begin operating from the day of La Crida.

Street markets – Authorised markets may open from 9 March.

Verbenas and tardeos – Outdoor parties and entertainment will be permitted on 13, 15, 16, 17 and 18 March.

New Restrictions on Night-Time Fireworks
Changes have also been agreed regarding the use of private pyrotechnics.
During the night, the use of Category F3 fireworks, including powerful fountains and loud report fireworks, will be restricted in an effort to improve residents' rest while maintaining the long-standing pyrotechnic traditions that are such an important part of Fallas.
The measures are designed to strike a balance between preserving Valencia's unique firework culture and reducing overnight disturbance.

Farewell to the "Mojiterías"
Another notable change is the disappearance of the popular "mojiterías" from the festival.
From Fallas 2027, these temporary cocktail venues will no longer be permitted as part of efforts to protect the image of the festival and reinforce its traditional, cultural and family-friendly identity.
The move forms part of a broader strategy to place greater emphasis on the heritage and cultural significance of Fallas as a UNESCO-recognised celebration.

Preparing for Another Incredible Fallas
These measures were agreed during the first Bando Fallero meeting involving Valencia City Council, municipal departments, Fallas representatives, neighbourhood associations and other social organisations.
As planning continues over the coming months, further details and regulations are expected to be announced ahead of Fallas 2027.
We'll continue to bring you all the latest official updates as preparations gather pace for another unforgettable celebration in Valencia.
