De gemeenteraad van Valencia heeft, via de Raad van Bestuur, de begroting gepresenteerd en goedgekeurd die het Centrale Fallas-bestuur volgend jaar, 2026, zal beheren. Tenminste, de prognose van de inkomsten en uitgaven. Zoals elk gemeentelijk orgaan heeft het de garantie dat het, mocht het meer geld nodig hebben, een beroep kan doen op kredietaanpassingen, die, afkomstig uit de gemeentekas, dienen om eventuele tekorten te dekken. De cijfers laten zien dat de gemeentelijke bijdrage – vanaf het begin – vrijwel bevroren is ten opzichte van 2025: € 3.289.256 is amper € 20.000 meer dan vorig jaar. Eerlijkheidshalve moet gezegd worden dat dit een stabilisering is van de "hausse" van het voorgaande jaar.
Daarom richt het bestuur zich op de gebieden waar buitengewoon veel wordt geïnvesteerd. Dat wil zeggen de ontwikkeling van een uitgebreid IT-beheerprogramma om het Virtuele Secretariaat te moderniseren (een van de belangrijkste geplande budgetverhogingen betreft het IT-budget, dat van € 65.000 naar € 100.000 gaat), de creatie van een nieuwe IT-medewerker – vertaald naar de salarisadministratie – en de creatie van een speciale toewijzing van € 25.000 voor de herdenkingsactiviteiten ter gelegenheid van de tiende verjaardag van de Verklaring van de Fallas tot Immaterieel Cultureel Erfgoed van de Mensheid door UNESCO. Met andere woorden, specifieke operaties om de machine draaiende te houden.
De positieve interpretatie van het bestuursteam richt zich daarom op het feit dat "dit budget zich inzet voor continue verbetering van het beheer, de technologische modernisering van de Junta Central Fallera en de waardering van onze tradities, met het oog op de toekomst en zonder onze wortels te verliezen", aldus Santiago Ballester. Meer vuurwerk in de straten en wijken van Valencia tijdens Las Fallas 2026? Zeker! Want er is besloten dat er een bedrag van 100.000 euro beschikbaar wordt gesteld voor vuurwerkshows bij de verenigingen. Iedere vereniging kan onder voorwaarden aanspraak maken op een subsidie vanuit deze pot.

Today we can proudly affirm that pyrotechnics live one of its most dynamic moments within the party."
The scheduled activities include the mascletaes organized by numerous Fallas commissions in the neighborhoods, the despertà of each day, the fireworks and night shows with music, the traditional correfocs, or proposals such as those entitled 'Pólvora a la Vespra', or 'Pólvora a la Mar', among many others, and in all the neighborhoods and hamlets of the city.
Ballester has stressed that this real decentralization strengthens the party, boosts the Valencian pyrotechnic sector and allows each commission to be the protagonist of its own show.
"These data are not just figures; they are the reflection of a lively, participatory and decentralized party in all the neighborhoods of our city. It is proof that the gunpowder is no longer concentrated in a single point, but beats in every corner of Valencia, bringing the emotion of the Fallas to all the neighbors," he said. "Because the Fallas are everyone's, and so is gunpowder," the councilor stressed.
Many commissions will make individual shots, such as the powerful ones signed by Reyes Martí in the fault Plaza del Mercado de Ruzafa or the thunderous ones that prepare the Aras de Alpuente commission, in Nazareth.
There are also collective programs, with shooting in different squares but under the same umbrella, such as 'Pólvora a la Vespra', where five fallas concentrate the shows in two days. For example, within this project, the first appointment will be on February 28 and the first commission to shoot will be Meaestro Gozalbo (19.30 hours), with the Caballer FX pyrotechnics.
