Fallas 2009! Wie,waneer,waar en hoe?

This is not really a big display but it is a crazy time display haha.
The biggest (NIT DEL FOC - NIT OF FIRE) display is fired in Paseo alameda as the rest of the display from the 15th. Its also hard to discribe what is big and what is not so big. It depends what you are used to. Are you used to 3 inch shells fired in a street with not wider then 6 meters ? Are you used to 2000 to 3000 kilo's of fireworks displayed in 20 minutes? Are you used to a finale of 1100 saluuts fired in 30 seconds?

Hoe komen jullie er eigenlijk achter hoe laat een straat mascleta word afgeschoten?
Want zijn er nog officiele tijden dat de meeste straat mascletas de lucht in
gaan net als bij de shows om 14:00 (officieele tijd) op Ayuntamiento of worden de straatmascletas gewoon op een random tijd geschoten?

Roy dit zijn eigenlijk vragen die even in een andere thread moeten. Maar zal hem wel hier beantwoorden. De mascletas worden allemaal tussen 14.00uur en 15.15 afgestoken. Effe de mascleta nocturna's er buiten gelaten. De meest zullen om 15.15uur al gegaan zijn.

Quite affordable (few tenners per night) and it looks pretty good!
Ruben stayed there last year, and was satisfied enough to book it again this year.
Only thing is; the 6-persons dorms... nothing private... but when you're staying with fellow-freaks, that shouldn't have to be a bad thing
I'm from New Jersey, US and all fireworks (including sparklers) are illegal here, so as for wide-spread public and private pyrotechnics on a large scale.....not very common. So, I think I'm going to the right place!
The hostels look pretty nice but I think I'm just going to go with a hotel this time. I found a few that are affordable-trying to decide if the east or west side of the city would be better...one of them is on the south end of Paseo de la Alameda-seems like theres a lot going on near there...

Trying to find accomodation leads to the dilemma of proximity vs tranquility
With less than a week for fallas just book an hotel according to your budget as best offers are booked from a long time ago.

Decent deals on rooms are still available. The question for me is still east side vs west side of the city. Both places I'm looking at are about equal distance from the center of the city. The east side near Paseo de la Alameda seems better for the bigger night displays, but I dont know for sure...
