Red strobe mines to silver tails to titanium bursts with silver sparks.
Batch 2020:
Our second salute cake after the "Funken-Finale 1". In order to keep the relative amount of flashpowder low enough, we had to achieve a high total powder weight, so we put a lot of powderweight for mines, tails and silver microstars - so it´s actually not a real salute cake, but more a silver sparks cakebox with loud bang.
The tails are still not perfect, as the current production technique still has to high tolerances - but we are continuously working to implement our "comet tails" for a growing part of our production.
The cake shown in the video had one innertube exploding a little lower; normally the sound level is at ca. 117dB.
Batch 2023:
New Version in 1.3G. After I was able to go back to China at the end of 2022, I tried to create a production capacity for Funke cakes again, which we can hardly produce anymore since I was no longer able to go to China at the end of 2020 due to Corona and had to let the lease on our old factory expire.
I had also found a new factory and signed a contract, however the Chinese fireworks market was doing so well at the beginning of the year, which caused the price of factories to rise significantly.
The "contractor" then tried to kick me out contrary to the contract, with the help of an acquaintance of his who is the leader of one division of the Hunan Commission for Discipline Inspection, the highest anti-corruption authority in the province. Yes, big surprise, in China even the officials who are supposed to fight corruption are corrupt.
The "contractor" also repeatedly blocked the entrance to the factory, turned off the electricity, threatened my employees, stole documents, etc. without the local police taking any action.
Ultimately, I asked the German embassy for help, which then contacted the Chinese foreign affairs department, and I spent the last few months in government offices and in court instead of being able to take care of the production as originally planned.
So far the matter is still not over, but the factory is closed because of the disputes, so we can't produce anything again. And unfortunately, even with the little that we were able to do, a lot of things didn't work out as they should, as I was busy defending myself against the above-mentioned activities almost every day, and the Chinese employees (as usual) were doing their best to fuck up whatever they can.
In any case, here is the "Eisbrecher", which is loud and has quite good tails, but with an uneven distribution of stars because the stars were not mixed properly with the burstpowder; Somewhat uneven timing, as well as weak red strobe stars in the mines.
Batch 2025:
New batch of "Eisbrecher" from our new factory.
Funnily enough, there have been three batches – the first from the original factory I leased from 2018 to 2020; the second from the factory I bought in 2023 but had to give up; and this current, third batch from our new factory in Guangxi, which will hopefully go better than the previous one
In my opinion, this batch is the best yet. The mines are okay, the ascents are very powerful, even if often a tad too short; but the micro-stars work significantly better here than in previous batches, so that the whole thing, as always intended, really comes quite close to the spark effect of a titanium salute.
The sound is also very deep and relatively loud, since we can use much more strong tubes in the new factory, due to a significantly larger number of available tool sets for pressing the tail effects – but of course still within the limits of F2. We weigh our own products daily during production in our own factory, so sadly there's no room for error![]()
