A wonderful chromatic palette was presented yesterday by Pirotecnia Zaragozana at the second display of the competition in Tarragona. As expected, the display offered some successful effects and a wonderful colour scale that drew applause from the public on several occasions.
After a start with strokes of cracker volcanoes accompanied by peonies and reports there was a series of sequences combining fire at two levels and two times. A wonderful collection of candles was fired all along the display, sometimes forming half-fronts and sometimes completing other higher effects.
One has to insist on the really high colour quality, its slow burning, its stability during all the execution time and its uniformity in all the elements (which is a clear sign of their own manufacturing of the components). Really elaborate were the colour-changing mosaics that appeared several times.
Very good cylinder shells and tremolante and fine glittering that burnt over the water were also very successful effects. On the other hand, large calibres opened too brusquely and broke figures, especially peonies. It’s also a pity that, as the display was progressing, the structure became more broken and lost rhythm on some occasions. This was even more evident during the finale with series of final reports, where intermediate silences were too long.
