Maybe it's a good idea to start a new topic about the safety of using e-matches, what the differences are between the different brands (bickford or cheap Chinese) and the behaviour of the e-matches in different environments (such as moist, high temperatures, cold etc).
And ofcourse the chemical properties of different e-matches? Are they really friction/shock sensitive? I assume they've put many ignitors to the test?
Besides the hazards of static electricity I suppose that the use of e-matches too bring a lot of potential dangerous situations with them. Maybe a new topic and a little help from hocuspocuspyroflop can create new visions regarding to the safety standards we oblige today!
