This film takes a look behind the scenes of the Gelmus Hill firework display, Victoria, Gozo, Malta, on 15 August 2012 during the Festa Santa Marija (Feast of Saint Mary). It is dedicated to firework makers throughout the Maltese Islands. Men who produce some of the finest pyrotechnics in the world using traditional methods, in their spare time and often in difficult and dangerous conditions. The film also includes footage from the actual display and shows the firework makers returning the statue of Santa Marija (Saint Mary) to her resting place in Gozo cathedral, in keeping with tradition during the Feast of Saint Mary.
