Wow, nice picture, but i thought Sydney was not going to have a fireworks display due to the explosion in one of the bigger fireworksfactories located in Australia??

But, besides that, it still is an amazing sight and i hope to see this once in my life (when i am to old to light me own fireworks; in about 50 years that is haha)

The display in Sydney has never been in any danger due to the explosion you mentioned, because the explosion took place on the premises of another company than the company firing the display in Sydney.

Well thats was not wat the media told.
I have posted different articles about this and there they said that the fireworkshow was in danger.

On the contrary, Tony.
Indeed you have posted several articles on the subject.

However, in the original article you've posted was already written "He (Andrew Howard) said while the company wasn't providing fireworks for the Sydney Harbour New Year's Eve spectacular, it was set to supply "just about everywhere else"."

And another article from a few days later stated "NEW Year's Eve fireworks displays in Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane are in doubt after a massive explosion destroyed a pyrotechnics factory west of Sydney last night."

Although several cities were mentioned, Sydney wasn't.
