Malta International Fireworks Festival 29-30 April 2007

Mount Carmel Fireworks Factory of Zurrieq was declared overall winner of the Malta International Fireworks Festival held over the weekend.

Also competing in the event were Design International of Austria, the Yung-Feng Firecrackers and Fireworks Co. Ltd of China, and the St Joseph Firework's Factory of Ghaxaq.

Also contributing to the pyrotechnic displays were special guests Orzella Fireworks Company from Italy, and last year's winner of the Malta International Fireworks Festival, the St Mary Fireworks Company of Mqabba.

Hundreds of people lined the bastions in Valletta and Floriana to enjoy the spectacle on last Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
