Hi,

I don't speak any belgish or hollandisch so I can't really use the search , so I hope you don't hate me if the Thread were already in the old Board or somewhere else.

I heard from a fried that the Celebration Cracker 10k don't have ten thousand crackers, I can't say anything to that because I don't have such a roll.

So my Question ist, how many Cracker do the 10k 50k and so on have, and how did they got the name ?

Greetings

Hello,

A 10K roll DOES have 10000 crackers on it (aprox.). Maybe you think that it's al little less becouse of the bomb at the end. But there are close to 10000 crackers on a 10K. Same story on the other rolls.

:w

BTW: The people in Begium speak Dutch to... :p

An besides... Who´s counting? I don't think anyone will want to roll out a 100K and count ALL the crackers on it, just to see if there are really 100.000... |:(

The difference between 7000 and 100.000 is very big. If you make a simple estimation, you can see it.

its just a manner to let the customer know, how big the crackers are in Belgium

On the other hand, in Holland the crackers have as many crackers as its name says.

And what about the Hindo Rol 1000,2000 etc.

Do they have 1k or 2k Crackers ?

Greetings

P.S. Normally I should know that people in Belgium speak Dutch too, but sometimes I just think another country another language :)

No, in Belgium 5k is the lowest. But here in Holland we have celebration crackers with 90, 150, 360 etc, etc shots. The biggest one here in the Netherlands is the 10,000. But you don't call him 10k.

The hindoerol are more acurate , i think when an hindoerol is called hindoerol 4000 that there are really 4000 crackers on it ...

The Hindoerol has the amount of crackers what the name says and the Celebration Crackers don't. The difference will be very big I think.
Who wants to count a 10k from Belgium? That's a good option to give an indication of the amount of crackers that are on Celebration Crackers. ;)

celebration cracker has 2 different sizes of cracker. You have small and big crackers. 1 big cracker = 10 small crackers

A cracker with 10 small and 1 big cracker is a 20 shots celebration cracker and not 11 shots.

Hindoe 1.000 has 1000 crackers because the are all small crackers

And if anyone really wants to start counting ;) then i suggest you count the crackers over a length of let's say 20 cm. Then measure the whole length of the roll and calculate. Should give a quite accurate estimation... :w

In the US, most consumer firecrackers are packaged with realistic numbers. 100-16,000. I believe that the 16k actually has close to 16k in it. The diameter of one roll is large, probably about 2 feet across while rolled up.

The confusion comes in when the Chinese label it TAU instead of per firecracker. I've seen celebration rolls that are 300,000 TAU (they are huge rolls, but nothing near 300k). These are normally about 3 feet across when rolled up, but have got larger crackers mixed in also.

So to get to the bottom of the mystery, we would need to know what 1 TAU is equal to? It seems like 1 firecracker may be equal to somthing like 12-18 TAU.

I've found the real numbers of cracker on a Celebration Cracker(they counted more CC's, but I've took just some from the list;) ), I've found it in the "handhavingsdocument vuurwerk 2005" on page 170:) ;)
.... Small Big
5.000 214 24
10.000 358 48
20.000 1100 78
100.000 3290 320
