Consell decree recognizing the traditional character of the parties that make use of pyrotechnics
The Official Gazette of the Comunitat Valenciana (DOCV) has published Tuesday March 8, the decree recognizing the religious, cultural or traditional festive events of Valencia who use fireworks, such as Las Fallas Bonfires of San Juan, La Magdalena, the 'Cord' or Moors and Christians, among other festivities, and are therefore excluded from EU legislation on fireworks and their use or adaptation.
Thus, the text specified as festive manifestation of religious, cultural or traditional major parties, employers or district from different municipalities in the Region, in which, on a regular or occasional, but always so ritual, used fireworks.Also, a classification of festive events and identifies three groups.
The first concerns the events and activities that can only make professional experts (the mascletàs, cream, fireworks or 'corretraca', etc.).The second refers to those fireworks that can perform non-professional experts necessarily (the cord, the correfoc or wake up) And finally, you can perform celebrations around the world to celebrate or commemorate an event of familiar character that does not require authorization by the competent authorities (firecrackers, drums or thunder in categories 1.2 and 3).

This Decree is motivated by Royal Decree 563/2010 of 7 May, which approves the regulation of fireworks and cartridge factory, state regulation that incorporates into Spanish law Directive 2007/23/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 23 May 2007 on the placing on the market of pyrotechnic articles.The regulation allows autonomous adaptation, which the Government has sought to preserve through this decree, so deeply rooted traditions that exist in the Region and use of pyrotechnics.
