Maryland man indicted for possessing fireworks

SALEM -- A Salem County grand jury indicted a Maryland man Wednesday for possessing fireworks, according to court papers.

Jeffrey L. Jones, 22, of Rising Sun, Md. was arrested and charged in June for possessing fireworks in Pennsville, according to the court papers. Jones was indicted Wednesday on charges of fourth degree unlawful possession of fireworks, according to the indictment.

On June 23 Jones knowingly possessed "firecrackers, bombs or other fireworks of the like," according to the indictment.

The fireworks were valued at approximately $2,000, according to court papers.
