Hoi!
[in English for exogen]Hi! Because there is so much unclarity about the law on fireworks in Italy, I thought to ask exogen, the Italian with his topic about 4"groundsalutes. He gave me info through pm, with later the approval of posting it in public here (and to pass it on to vuurwerkcrew.nl). So here is exogen's info[/]

Thanks again, exogen!in italy , generally , we have two categories :
categoria 4 e categoria 5
in the categoria 5 there are all the stuffs you can buy free or if you are 18 years old.
you can buy free little little petards , fountains , smokes. However very very little.
If you are 18 years old you can buy certain types of petards (with , more of less , 1 gr of flash) and little cakes. there isn't a particular limitations of weight. And you can buy and shoot everytime in the year.
in the categoria 4 , there are all the professional stuffs , big petards (> 2.5gr of flash) , cakes with a caliber >20mm , shells.
For this items there is a strange law : for buy and transport you must have the gun license and , for fire you must have the firing license. And the permit from a local police station. This is for the law.
But there are many people that shoot , expecially cakes , everytime in the year.
You can buy category 4 everytime in the year and you can transport an amount between 15-25 kg based on the class of the products (1.1 1.3)
however there isn't a particular weight of powder for each product. In Italy there is a limit of the total weight of the powder you can buy and transport with the gun license. You can buy a 30cm shell with 10 kg of powder or 20 cakes with 500gr and for the law is the same question. But you can only buy , not fire , if you haven't the firing license and the police permit.
Of course , expecially at the end of the year , this laws aren't always respected.
