An explosion that blew out the garage doors and windows of a house in Salem and sent a man to the hospital has been blamed on homemade fireworks.SALEM, Ore. (AP) -
Investigators say that 32-year-old Theodore "Ted" Henry threw what he believed to be trash in his wood burning stove, resulting in the explosion.
The debris and fire from that explosion ignited explosive chemicals around the house - causing them to explode too.
Marion County sheriff's deputies say investigators found other chemicals in the house used to manufacture fireworks.
