I would love to see a group trip to Lui Yang in Hunan China. This is the hometown of manufacturing and it is the ultimate pilgrimage for firework freaks.
There are literally fireworks going off everywhere you look day and night as factories product test and demo for customers. You can be sitting in one exporters office and the factory office next door will decide to quality test a 25 shot 3" Salute cake and nobody even notices.
Head down to the purpose built fireworks competition stadium with its own lake for water effects and there is pyro everywhere. When we were having a demo there were two others going on side by side and countless others that you could see at various factories from the road on our travels to and from.
Before our demo a factory was doing some quality control shell testing. They had the truck parked 5 metres from their mortars and two technicians were reloading and handfiring 8 inch shells as quick as it took them to walk to the back of the truck and get another one. They would have blown off at least 50 not to mention all the smaller sizes beforehand. After awhile you had to block your ears as the thump of the lift started to hurt.
They have the Liu Yang International Fireworks Comp in Oct and this could be a good time to visit.
