Hello all,
(brief introduction)
In a months time, (16th June) the first official event for this years festa will take place. That is the 'Maltese style night' which would be a show of Dancing, Music, Drama and more, and Maltese food.
From this date till the begining of the Festa week there will be more events which serve as an 'into the festa' events. Such as official gatherings and presentations.
Monday 26th June is the offical starting day of the feast and leads up to 2nd July (the official feast day). The highlights being the Eave of the feast and the feast day itself. (as in every year the feast takes place on the first Sunday of July and the whole week up to this day).
Decorations will start to be put in place a whole month before, that is at the begining of June. Thousands of light bulbs allover the Village, artistic pedestals and statues, rich banners and much much more. The village is unrecognisable when the decorations are all in place!
One must rightfully argue that the Luqa feast is one of the most popular and well celebrated feasts in Malta. This is mainly because it is filled with all ingredeants on a large quality way

Fireworks for 2006.
At this point in time, fireworks manufacturing at the Saint Andrew's Fireworks Factory of the Union Club, is at its peak phase and soon it will enter in its final stages.
