Explosion in Fireworks Storage in Sofia

Series of blasts rocked two residential areas in capital Sofia on early Saturday, eyewitnesses told FOCUS News Agency. The blasts were caused by explosion in a fireworks storage facility. According to residents, who heard the explosion, there were small blasts following a bigger one. So far no casualties have been reported.

The fire, which started following the explosion, was put out, police reported for FOCUS News Agency.
There is no information on air pollution in Sofia, where a storage facility with fireworks exploded and caught fire earlier on Saturday, the Bulgarian Natural Disaster Management Ministry reported for FOCUS News Agency. Teams from the NDMM and the Civil Protection Agency were sent to the location of the incident.
