China 1.3G Shipping Problems

Hello All.
I represent a large fireworks company in Australia, over the past few months I have noticed the decline in availability of shipping lines to carry 1.3G products from Liuyang to Various destinations around the world. At this stage we have various 1.3G containers sitting in China awaiting export, but have been held up due to the strick regulations since the explosion earlier this year in the Port of Changsha. If anyone has managed to find a shipping line that is willing to work with 1.3G or have any advice I would like to hear your comments.
Kind Regards

I have noticed this problem as a German friend told me about this. He had the same problem for his company. He managed to find a company to ship these goods, I will ask him for that one but I'm not sure if he wants to tell that.

Here is an article about the "not-shipping of fireworks" after incidents that happened in May 2006;

It also has to do with the rules that governments set after these incidents because they think of the fact that it's not reasonable to put crew of ships in such a danger when shipping these goods.

This is one of the reasons I decided to get out of the fireworks industry because day after day it is one new problem after the other. If you tried to do everything by the book you would get no where and no make money.

Things will continue to get more complicated as govts worry about what if questions and look to micro manage risk. Anything is possible but it should be a question of what is probable.
