Wow, that are some decent numbers!
The yearly numbers in the legal market here are between 75 and 80 million, and rising, on a population of 17,5 million.
But there are guesses that the market in illegal fireworks combined with sales outside the country (in Belgium and Germany) are at least matching.


How is the illegal market in Denmark? Are the numbers (as far as they can be guessed) high or?
The market over here is flooded with "bangers" like Cobra's and other explosives. But also shells are getting more and more common.

I don't think the illegal market is as big as in The Netherlands. It is mostly small to medium size firecrackers from Poland and Czech Republic.
Large F4 cakes are also sold a lot illegally. Shells are not as widely spread as they where 5 years ago. They have been a lot in the Media and there have been a decent amount of deaths because of them, so the rules are very strict.
Then there is the homemade firecrackers made in illegal Factories. The most popular one is "køkkenruller" (Paper towel) - these are with the small polish crackers are the most popular in the illegal market.
I don't really know how to guess a number, but I am sure that the numbers aren't as high is the legal

Very interesting!
Not really in the legal market. There are often something like "buy for 5000 DKK and get this extra or 10% off" or something like that.
It is probably possible to do some deals with the store owners if you are buying a lot, but it is not really something the mainstream consumer does.

In the illegal market there is almost always discount when you buy a lot, but that is probably just because they want to get it out of their own hands

I think that the prices for illegal fireworks is too high for the consumers when you are able to get large compound boxes up to almost 10 kg NEC (Though this is going to get a limit of 5 kg in 2023 which also is the limit if NEC allowed per household)
For instance, a package FP3 would cost around 100 DKK (ca 13,5 Euro) where I've been able to buy it got 2-3 euros when I've been in Poland.
Theses prices are from before the large price increases in Poland

Ouch, sounds like you have got to deal with the same kind of decreasing policy we have dealt with the last decades.

Though until now, here they are still handling a limitation of 'total weight', instead of nec. Deadly dangerous, all those cardboard, hardboard, metal casing and heavy plaster.

Agreed, i’m considering to go to denmark in the future. First legoland with the kids and afterwards fireworks at the resort . Sounds like a solid plan, poland also an option.
