Following this thread about Falla Convento Jerusalen i want to show you a video about this falla and the infantile

I saw it before knowing the results of special section fallas. When i leave i commented that i liked much more the fallas of Convento in the previous years. It was a good falla but in that moment i think it wasn't a winner falla. Then surprise, it was the winner....
i realize taht it was one of the best after visiting some others including 2nd prize Nou Campanar.
It was not still my favourite, but may be some others see details of quality that i don't understand. I still prefer Falla Cadarso-Altea and Sueca more than this one.

Thanks for the video and pictures man!

Although we didn't see Nou Campanar in real life I have to say I was astonished by this one. Actually the first one this year where we were convinced we had to visit inside the perimeter for some dough.
I especially liked the nitty gritty details like the Sun (Not easy to build this overhanging structure!), the butterflies (brutal details!) and the Santa with reindeers and sleigh!
The Michael Jackson Ninot was also exhibitioned at the temporary exposition and they were right to have choosen this particular part, because it was a truly outstanding piece!
Does anybody know if Michael jackson was also saved from the flames?

From the Crema there is not a worthy video online yet.

FotoFallas claimed it costed 300K, but:
The declaration clearly stated that they didn't exceed the budget of 260.000 euro (Crisis?)
I doubt if the height was 22 metres. 15 metres seems more reasonable!

Anyway: For me a justified winner

Turista Fallero magazine says it was 22meters high and cost 300.000 euros, about the height i also have some doubts, about the money, who knows.

It wasn't choosed by the people to be saved. In practice some other ninots are saved from the flames, there are other pirzes such as Raga prizes that save the ninot as for the most critic ninot (winner this year was a ninot of NaJordana) and Ninot chosen by the fallas artist guild and taken into their museum (museum of fallas artist, different from the fallas museum). I don't know what they have chosen this year. Another possibility is that the falla take it to their installations to keep it for ever or for some time, they would need a lot of space if they keep a ninot of every year or even a ninot for every year they have won.

The scene with Michael was very critic with the SGAE the society that deals with authors rights and thinks that everybody using p2p is a thief. They ask for money for every music played everywhere, even last year they tried to made every falla paid for any kind of music played in their the open-air concerts when in practice these rights are already payed by the mucis bands hired.
The sgae members where represented as vultures and their president Teddi Bautista is asking S Peter for the money of the new artist , Jackson.

I liked also the scene of the fiscal paradise

where the white man is resting while the black man is painting white the money. In spanish undeclared money is 'black money' and launder the monay is 'whiten the money', i don't know if this scence would be understand in english.

I agree with you the falla is high quality, but i still enjoyed more other fallas and think that Convento had better fallas in the past 6 years, but this year the level of the rest of the fallas was lower too. Nou Campanar was big but the scenes were not very detailed.

It was also our fault to see half of the falla and the infantile with a baby crying of hunger... so we had to hurry up and didn't take more pictures and the video wasn't also good.

The infantile falla was nice to see. Got 6th prize of special section and was a children telling that his grandfather was a oainter of storybooks and the falla shows the things he paints, fairies, dragons, dwarfs, witches...
