The air in the Lagoon has taken that special color that pinto September in the afternoons. We celebrated the Celebrations of the Christ. We have been offering, for centuries, our more sincere devotion al Doliente, al that we venerated in the place of its martyrdom.

This city and its people we surrendered, a year more, before the insondable mystery of the glance of the brown Crucificado that makes us make kneel us to its step, declaring to him the respect that, in ancestral times we reserved to other kings. Ever since she saturated in this place like a gift never waited for, never deserved by us, austere and respectful people, do already more than five centuries, the laguneros we have not returned to be such. She has changed our vision of the world, that is sifted now through the sweet and merciful eyes of the Christ.

Like respect expression, our streets that begin to get wet with the night watchman who announces the summer end, will vibrate with the outcry of the silence that it shakes and it accompanies to the Nazareno in his untiring one to procesionar by the Lagoon. But also our joy will be pronounced. The one of knowledge that we have, guarded in the convent of San Francisco of the Victories, a patrimonial and votiva jewel that is elevated more in one of the indicated objects of cult of this Archipelago.

For that reason, from day 2 in ahead, the cultural and playful music of the Symphony orchestra of Tenerife, concerts, acts and the spectacular fireworks exhibition will congregate to thousands of people in San Cristóbal of the Lagoon to show the world how the first city of Peace of the West, historical, university and religious capital of Tenerife founds, once again, the thousand alive traditions in their cultural heap to fulfill, to renew and to extend their promise of love to the Christ.
