Hi NLsandman, this year the competition was exceptional.
During the daylight competition, Paolelli did a show never seen.

About the video, I have seen there, in Adelfia, some people of the freakpyromanics' staff.
so I think that there are no problems.

This year's edition of the "Festa in Adelfia in honore de San Trifone" presented us again some fantastic companies. I can talk on for hours, but will suffice with mentioning some special moments.

- The lack of a Pizza Salmone at Ristorante Fuochi to which I had been looking forward for a long time.
- The visit to the factory of B. Bruscella.
- The fantastic weather (clear blue skies and 20 degrees) that changed unexpectedly, but temporarily, into a thunderstorm with heavy rain halfway the first of 6 daylight displays. This turned out to be a wet, windy and cold afternoon. Unfortunately, a lot of people went home because they were soaking wet.
- The incredible finale by Paolelli. I had never seen a finale this big in Adelfia.
- The change of program due to the heavy rain. On Friday evening all festivities had been cancelled. There was no big market, no lights, no atmosphere and no fireworks (the four displays were postponed to the next evening).
- Our BBQ in the field on Saturday afternoon.
- The kind people we met in the streets.
- The perfect conditions on Saturday evening to watch 6 evening displays. Little wind and clear starry skies. Although, temperatures around freezing point really made me shiver.
- And of course, the fantastic pieces of art that were launched into the sky.

Nice that you have been there, I've seen your photo's from the build up.
The weather is strange this year, freezing point in south Italy and spring temperatures in the Netherlands(eek)

is it normal that they shoot 6 displays in one evening?

During the day the temperatures were perfect. We only had some misfortune due to a passing front. The week before we arrived, there had been some snow near Bari. Well, that's better than last year, when heavy rain did a lot of damage to the italian infrastructure. See my album of San Trifone 2005. Even to today the damage had not been completely repaired and some roads were still not in use.

Nope, they usually shoot 4 evening displays on the 10th and 2 on the 11th. Due to the rain in the afternoon the evening displays of the 10th were postponed till the 11th. For me this was obvious, because I've told this story a couple of times the past few days. I now see it wasn't that obvious in written text (will make some adjustments).

Will start uploading the rest in a few minutes.
