Ik krijg net een bericht door met nieuws wat betreft de mascletas in 2010 op het Plaza del Ayuntamient. Hierin word beschreven dat er vanaf volgend jaar een maximum kaliber van 50mm shells mag worden gebruikt. Tot op heden is dit 75mm.

Wederom jammer, maar hier hebben we ook een ander voordeel. Er mag een bepaald aantal kilo's aan 1,1G materiaal op het plein staan. Ik dacht dat dit 50KG is. Dat betekend dat er straks meer saluuts (2 inch) de lucht in zullen gaan tijdens de finale dan dat nu het geval is. En laten we eerlijk zijn, de saluuts in Spanje zijn gruwelijk hard en 2 inch kan genoeg zijn. Wij hebben ze weleens in de straten meegemaakt van 2 inch (Vicente Caballer) en die waren echt ontzettend hard. Dus laten we hopen dat dit dan ook het geval zal zijn.

La reducción del calibre implicará una rebaja de la altura que alcanzarán las carcasas durante la mascletà. Con un calibre de 75 milímetros llegaba hasta los 60 metros y con la nueva medida el fuego aéreo sólo se podrá elevar hasta los 35 metros. "No pretendemos reducir la espectacularidad de la mascletà, sino evitar cualquier problema de seguridad", insistieron fuentes municipales.

Estas medidas, sin embargo, no reducirán la cantidad de pólvora que se lanzará en cada mascletà. 120 kilos serán los que se disparen, pero de forma mucho más repartida, por lo que el efecto sonoro será menor.

Otra de las medidas que se aplicarán para garantizar la seguridad será la instalación de una valla ubicada a cinco metros del perímetro de seguridad que rodea a la plaza del Ayuntamiento.

La valla se montará y se desmontará cada día con el fin de que los espectadores no se abalancen al final de cada mascletà a la zona de fuegos y se expongan al disparo inesperado de una carcasa que no ha llegado a explotar durante el espectáculo pirotécnico.


Pirotécnico sin ovación
Esta medida encontrará sus detractores porque habitualmente los espectadores esperaban al último disparo para correr hacia la valla y aplaudir ferozmente al pirotécnico y subirlo en hombros. Una tradición que ahora ya no van a poder hacer ante esta nueva limitación y que se podrá comprobar el uno de marzo. En definitiva, toda una serie de medidas que demostrarán a la Unión Europea el interés de Valencia por proteger las fiestas y demostrarle que se necesita una medida excepcional para evitar que entre en vigor el decreto europeo.

Son pocos los accidentes que se han producido en la mascletà, el último se produjo después de que una de las carcasas estallara a baja altura fuera del perímetro de seguridad. Tres de los afectados tuvieron que ser trasladados al Hospital Clínico mientras el resto fueron atendidos por Cruz Roja en el lugar de los hechos. La mayoría de los heridos presentaban traumatismos por golpes y quemaduras leves en las piernas.

La manipulación y transporte del material pirotécnico también será muy controlado durante los próximos días. La Guardia Civil realizará controles periódicos por la ciudad para impedir que el material pirotécnico no circule sin las pertinentes medidas de seguridad que establece la regulación.

Esta medida se tomó a raíz del accidente que se produjo el día 16 de marzo de 2007 y además de los cuantiosos daños materiales, causó 17 heridos, empañando la fiesta fallera. Desde entonces, la Guardia Civil y la Policía Local supervisan todos los transportes que se realizan en la ciudad.

Ikzelf ben in 2005 aanwezig geweest en kan mij nog van de oldschool mascleta herinneren dat na de afsluiting ook nog 2 of 3 kleinere saluutjes van 1,5 of 2 " werden afgestoken en die maakte echt behoorlijk indruk, wat een dreunen waren dat!
Enerzijds jammer van deze 'afslanking', anderzijds mocht deze verandering behoud van de mascleta's inhouden dan zij het zo en als je heel eerlijk bent is het zonder 3" salutes nog steeds een berg geweld, ofniet?
Wordt er elders in het jaar op het plein trouwens ook al niet zonder de zware salutes een mascleta gschoten?

Heb in oktober een mascleta op het plein meegemaakt zonder salutes, alleen salute blokken stonden er en die rekjes met 9 zwarte buisjes erop, waar volgens mij ook knal uit kwam.

Maar nondeju wat een finale, deed niet onder voor een salute finale zoals ik met fallas gewend ben.
Ging echt heel erg hard, ja de zware dreunen van de 75mm salutes mis je natuurlijk maar een harde finale, ook in de lucht is er zeker te maken zonder deze 75 mm bommetjes.

Ik denk dat ze geen salutes van EPM o.i.d. nodig hebben, die kunnen ze zelf ook maar al te goed maken of afnemen van een andere spaanse fabriek.

en trouwens 2 inch is hard zat, gaan ook wat lager, zie je ook aan de db meter tijdens de filmpjes het hardste stuk is niet de 3 inch salute finale in ieder geval, de meeste db's

Mijn vraag stelde ik naar aanleiding van deze post van Toon.

Ik heb het hier met de Valencianen over gehad maar het is toch niet zo simpel als dat wij denken.
De cilinders achten ze veel gevaarlijker dan ronde bommen en ze zullen dus niet zomaar lange cilinders gaan gebruiken.,

Wat ik eerder ziet gebeuren is dat de chems beter gemaakt gaan worden voor wie dat kan.
Zo zijn de salutes van Europla ontzettend hard en die zijn ook gewoon 3 inch maar bij een ander zijn dezelfde 3 inchers een stuk zachter.
Dus voor wie de kennis heeft zal het geen probleem zijn.

Hetzelfde hebben we gezien bij de trueno nr4 knallers. Ze knallen nu nog net zo hard terwijl er toch echt minder poeder in zit. De chems zijn de baas!

Het uitgangspunt in deze materie is het component "massa explosiva" . Daarom is de restrictie van vorig jaar ingesteld waar ze eerst de 70mm "trueno de aviso" mochten schieten is dit terug gebracht naar 50mm. Daaraan gekoppeld was ook het gegeven dat men de mascletas schiet op een geringe afstand van het publiek, en ook in ogenschouw genomen dat 50mm minder letsel veroorzaakt dan en 70mm, ivm de hoeveelheid "massa explosiva".
Een ander beleidspunt waren de 250mm "carcasas esfericas" die in 2008 nog in de 1.3 G categorie vielen, waren ze in 2009 gekwalificeerd in 1.1G ook weer ivm de hoeveelheid "massa explosiva".

Dat de chemicus of laborant zijn mengsel ( sas) aanpast door een harder volume te creëren is waarschijnlijk, maar of hij daadwerkelijk meer bijv Aluminium perchloraat toevoegd , of Nitrato potasio, dat betwijfel ik, want ik hoor wel degelijk een verschil in de "truenos de avisos" van 2008 en ervoor en van 2009.
Waar het de pirotecnia om blijft gaan is het principe in dit geval de "Bombardeo" dat deze voldoet aan de eis zoals hij hoort te zijn, namelijk in climax en klimmend in de lucht en met veel flitsen.
