With the entry of March the streets of Valencia are punctuated by pieces of faults in the nights of March 15 and 14 will be planted in the city. Faults for its monumentality and height have greater difficulty in planting are the first to go outside.

Last weekend demarcation Nou Campanar began receiving the first pieces of the monument to plant this year in July Monterrubio. On Monday, March 2 was the failure of the Na Jordana Plaza and Plaza del Pilar, which already had several pieces of works built by José Vicente Llácer and Lafarga, respectively.

Con la entrada del mes de marzo las calles de Valencia se ven salpicadas por las piezas de las fallas que en las noches del 14 y 15 de marzo se plantarán en la ciudad. Las fallas que por su monumentalidad y altura tienen mayor dificultad a la hora de plantar son las primeras en salir a la calle.

El pasado fin de semana la demarcación de Nou Campanar empezó a recibir las primeras piezas del monumento que plantará este año Julio Monterrubio. El lunes 2 de marzo fueron las fallas de la Plaza de Na Jordana y Plaza del Pilar, las que ya contaban con varias piezas de las obras construídas por Vicente Llácer y José Lafarga, respectivamente.

El martes día 3 por la noche fue la falla municipal la que quiso salir del taller de de Pedro Santaeulalia. Entre plásticos y estructuras de madera salían las cuatro primeras góndolas con piezas de los remates y bases del monumento que ocupará una superficie de 225 m2 y alcanzará una altura de 22 metros.

Pedro Santaeulalia que ya plantó en la Plaza del Ayuntamiento en el 2001, ha querido esta vez hacer un homenaje a los animales que habitan en el Bioparc y bajo el título "Benvinguts a casa" recordará a los valencianos y turistas que este parque ya ha cumplido un año en nuestra ciudad.

Pedro Santaeulalia made a good and funny Falla about Bioparc, many people criticize that looks to be very commercial and set up just to promote the new Zoo. Also the back of the falla was too simple and mainly the bootom of the elephant.

The text was in valencian, spanish and english. I hope some more fallas put their text in valencian and spanish some day. English translation was poor and they used a systran translator and put the result exactly as this program gave, and sometimes the text is wrong and without meaning, a pity.


Pedro also made a couple of fallas more in other categories, winning First A (silver category) with Duque gaeta-Farnals, it was a bit out of my routes to see fallas and i didn't go to see it. He is likely to build the 2010 falla for Ayuntamiento again.


I have read, and i agree that big falla was more a type of children falla, and children falla could have been a big falla, not for the size but for the themes used.

Children falla was very beautiful and show a lot of things about Exposition at Valencia 1909. These artists has applied again for the Ayuntamiento falla of the next year, i hope they get it because i love their style.

I thought the same about the Big Falla at Ayuntamiento.
I was a bit dissapointed when i saw it.Normaly it is extremly ,but for now it looks a simple falla for me .
