[2007] Which ninot would you save?

I have chosen 3 ninots for this poll, the better in my opinion.

The level isn't as high as for the child ninots, but these three are quite good.


I voted for Exposicio-Micer MAsco ninot, as it's the funniest of the three and still quite well done.

CONVENTO JERUSALEN
quite realistic ninot dedicated to Sorolla, impresionist painter from valencia, quite famous as the better impresionist painter in spain. I found it very similar to the last year winner.

EXPOSICON-MICER MASCO
the funniest of the three

NOU CAMPANAR
a typical ninot, "old men with children" style.

Although it's very difficult to choose my vote finally went to Nou Campanar.

I chose this Falla because I really admire the incredible paint-job. Very nice shadows. Almost too nice.

The Falla of Convento Jerusalen is special to me, because of the texture that is used. The Falla of Exposición-Micer Masco is nice because of the soft and gentle colours that are used and because of the easily recognisable subject.

Some considerations for voting:

About Nou Campanar ninot: very well done, many details, the fishes, the birds, the man and the girl are very well done,but it's too classical, every year we can see some of these ninots of the granfather with the grandchildren.

About Exposicion ninot: it's the funniest of the three because of the bodies and faces, the fact that the boy is helping with the investigation by giving some 'cluedo' clues, and the mice are also investigating the killing of the cat. but there is still a lack of details, for example, last year ninot of Nou Campanar was also in the same line of more funny than realistic but had much more details in it than this one.

About Convento ninot: very similar to the last year winner ninot, (valencian writer Blasco Ibañez thinking about a book he wrote, with the horsemen of apocalypsis), here is sorolla, valencian painter and a painting of him, very very similar to the last year composition. The face of sorolla is quite well done, you can almost think that he's going to talk, but the rest of compisition is not as good (in my opinion) as the painting in the background desn't have the details that made last year ninot win.

If you prefer funny ninots, then the vote should go to Exposicion
If you prefer perfection against funny then you should vote to Convento or Nou Campanar.
