I'm a little bit surprised that nobody has put this info here yet.
As we all know the Falla of Nou Campanar one first prize in the Special Section. But isn't it interesting to know who won second, third, etc. in this section and other sections? Or shouldn't we give some credits to all the other beautifull Fallas? I think so, hence this thread.

Check the link below to find out how the awards have been distributed:

Re: Prices/awards for Fallas from 2007

i have uploaded some days ago pictures of some fallas and the prize they won.

and i think that most of people here aren't really interested about monuments.

I agree with you that most people here probably aren't really interested in pictures of the Fallas (monuments), but that won't stop me from uploading my pictures as well. At home I finally have my selection of pictures ready to be uploaded. Just give me a few more days.

Most of my pictures are from the Fallas (monuments) and other Fallas activities. I hardly take any pictures of the fireworks, because I already have so much of those. Same can be said for pictures of the Fallas (monuments), although I still make hundreds. Big difference between the two is that the fireworks pictures are more or less the same each year, while the pictures of the Fallas (monuments) are different each time.

I will check your pictures later today or later this week, because I have always liked them. Seeing your avatar you must have really liked the Falla of Plaza del Pilar. And I have to agree with that as well. :)

of course anybody can upload their own pictures,
please upload yours, i'm willing to see more pictures, i have seen too much mines.

and i agree with you that pictures of monuments are different and full of details, you may find details in the falla that you didn't notice when taking the picture, and thus reviewing fallas pictures is nice.
As well as understanding some scenes and reading those posters in valenciano.
I also don't understand very well valenciano and sometimes i was tired of trying to understand what was written.

It was great that for falla El Pilar they gave a translation of every poster to spanish when you paid to get in.

:)

Indeed, valenciano is just a little bit more difficult than normal Spanish. I can understand the texts in valenciano partially, but most times I just don't get that one word that explains the entire text or joke. Then I feel what the texts mean, but I can't explain what it means to my friends in Dutch.

the same happens to me. Most words in valenciano are very similiar to spanish (or castellano as it's said normally in spain) but some others not. In the posters they use sometimes 'rare' words in order to made a rhyme.

I saw a couple of fallas with my mother and even she sometimes didn't understand some words. She is valencian and spoke valencian at home, but never studied in valenciano and that's why she doesn't understand some words which aren't normally used.

It's remarkable your efforts in the translation from valencian to dutch!!!
